Performance
Every new Colorado has a
2.7-liter turbocharged I-4 engine under the hood. However, there are two
output levels for Moore, OK, customers to consider. The standard engine
produces 237 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque, while the
available TurboMax™ engine produces 310 horsepower and 430 pound-feet of
torque. The engine is always paired with an eight-speed automatic
transmission. Rear-wheel drive is standard, while four-wheel drive is
available for customers who want to optimize traction on and off the
road. The Colorado has a maximum available towing capacity of 7,700
pounds.
Technology & Safety
The Colorado infotainment system is anchored by a standard 11.3-inch infotainment touchscreen display. A standard 11-inch digital instrument cluster shows important driving information with crisp, clear graphics. Standard wireless Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ let you connect your smartphone to the infotainment system. Six speakers are standard, but you can upgrade to an available seven-speaker Bose premium audio system.
The Colorado comes standard with several important safety features. Standard forward collision warning with pedestrian and cyclist detection alerts the driver to any obstacles that might appear in the driver's path, so you can take action to avoid a collision. Standard automatic emergency braking automatically applies the brakes if you don't respond to the forward collision warning, preventing a collision or minimizing damage in the event of a collision. A standard following distance indicator shows how far behind another vehicle you are. Standard lane-departure warning and lane-keeping assist alert you if the vehicle changes lanes without the turn signal having been activated and provides corrective steering if necessary. Standard automatic high-beam headlights turn on when they are needed and dim when the system detects vehicles ahead of you.
