The Terrain has quite a bit of power under the hood with the standard 1.5L Turbo 4-cylinder engine, which delivers 175 horsepower and 203 lb-ft of torque. It's paired with a 9-speed automatic transmission that offers smooth gear transitions.

For those who love off-roading, the available all-wheel drive Traction Select System helps you navigate most any terrain you encounter. There are several drive modes to choose from, including Off-Road, which adjusts the AWD system, stability, and traction control, so you can adapt.

For a more comfortable ride, opt for the available Denali Premium Suspension system, which offers enhanced shock control. This suspension reduces road noise and lets you easily adjust to rough terrain.

Inside the Terrain

The interior of the Terrain has room for five. The interior is refined, yet spacious, so you can bring along the whole crew with plenty of space.

Available leather-trimmed seats create comfort for the interior. You can opt for heated seats in both rows, as well as available ventilated front seats to keep you comfortable, no matter the weather.

Tech is a part of the Terrain model's interior. The infotainment system helps you stay connected on the go. Hook up your smartphone to access your music, contacts, and more, all through the infotainment touchscreen. You can even upgrade this system to include built-in vehicle navigation. Wireless Charging makes it easy to charge your phone without needing cords.

Driver-Assist and Safety Technology

To help keep you safe and aid you on the road, the Terrain comes equipped with a suite of driver-assist and safety technology features. Some of these features include:

• Lane Change Alert with Side Blind Zone Alert-This system monitors your position within your lane and warns you of vehicles in your blind spot.
• Rear Park Assist-While in reverse, this system provides alerts depending on how close you are to nearby objects so you can park and avoid collisions.
• High-Definition Surround Vision-Using multiple cameras, this system gives you an overhead view of your SUV and the surrounding area. You can then flip through additional views to properly assess your surroundings.
